Moggy, my Oxford

The Cowley

The Guzzler, my Isis

I haven't got around to putting these two below into a seperate page yet.

Oxcart

Oxcart
A long haired ruffian (opps - that should read 'the owner') stands in front of Oxcart, which is showing it's prowess as a snow plough when we were on holiday. The road was unsealed, it was snowing, and we didn't have snow chains, but no matter! The only other people we met along that road were the local farmers in their 4WD vehicles. They seemed rather surprised to see us...

This rather characterful local car came up for sale. It bore the numberplate OXCART and was a superb, usable car. It had been reupholstered (very comfy!) and well looked after and also had a 1622 B-series engine under the bonnet, which gave it some pep.
It was used everyday - towed trailers; crammed (carefully!) full of amps, basses and guitars for gigs every week and we went on some really nice long holidays in it, but now I had a dilemma - too many cars!
It was becoming a strain to find adequate storage, time and money to keep the fleet purring along nicely. I half-heartedly advertised the Cowley for sale, but then changed my mind and half-heartedly advertised Oxcart instead...sigh...

An Oxford woody trav
A very rare Morris Oxford Series III woody traveller. They were made for less than one year. Is this the only one in New Zealand? Note the correct fluted bonnet and the incorrect non-hooded headlamps. There's an aftermarket 'flying bird' on the top of the bonnet - it looks like there used to be another.
